How long does it take for Jergens Tanner to work?
JERGENS® Natural Glow® Daily Moisturisers work gradually with your skin chemistry to deliver unique results. Allow 3 to 10 days for the colour to develop into a healthy, summer glow. Before exercising, swimming and showering, wait at least 4 hours for optimal product performance.
Color develops instantly and continues to deepen for several hours after application, peaking at 24 hours and lasting for days. Looking for a deeper shade? Reapply after the first 24 hours. Available in Light Bronze, Deep Bronze, or Ultra Deep Bronze shades.
If you aren't able to apply before bed, you just need to wait 4-5 hours before showering or getting wet. JERGENS® Natural Glow® Instant Sun® Sunless Tanning Mousse is a one day application, so after the color develops, you will have a nice natural tan. If you want a deeper color, you can apply again the next day.
For best results you should apply JERGENS® Natural Glow® Daily Moisturiser every day—a gradual, natural-looking colour will result after about 1 week of continued use. If desired, try a darker formula, but the results may not be as natural-looking.

This is the important part when it comes to how to tan faster: depending on whether you're after a light, medium, or dark toned bronze, leave your self tan on for 1, 2, or 3 hours before rinsing in the shower. Your golden glow will continue to develop over the next 8 hours, leaving skin looking sensationally sunkissed.
Step 4: Sit Back & Relax
Immediately after tanning, let it dry completely before putting on some loose, dark clothing to prevent your tan transferring. Either apply your self tan in the morning for daytime development, or apply before you go to bed to wake up looking bronzed and beautiful.

We want your tan to be 20/10 and unfortunately if moisturiser is applied it can leave blotches, marks and strip the tan in certain spots on the skin. Once you've washed off the colour guide and waited at least 8 hours, you can apply your favourite moisturiser to your entire body.

Apply Moisturizer Before Tanner
After exfoliating your body, continue the prepping process by applying a moisturizer. You shouldn't apply self-tanner without moisturizing first, because skipping out on this prep step could potentially leave you with patchy color — this goes for your face and the rest of your body.
Love it! I used to use bondi sands but this is so much better- pleasant scent and doesn't stain my sheets when I put on before bed. About 7 days of tan with a gradual fade.

This is probably the best self tanner I have used. I have used the Isle of Paradise one for quite some time but decided I needed a change as it made me very orange. I tried this one and it is amazing. I only fake tan my face so I put it on every other day as I shower every day.
I really like this self tanner lotion. It goes in smooth and doesn't have a super strong scent. It gives just enough glow/gradual tan, but you don't have to worry about being super precise since it's a gradual tint.
So it comes out with a brown guide, but as soon as you apply it, it becomes dark brown, giving you an instant tan. Immediately after application I had a medium shade tan. After leaving the product on overnight, I woke up and had a dark tan that was so smooth and natural looking.

After You've Tanned
Once you have the perfect coverage, grab your hairdryer to help it set. Be sure it's blowing cool air and move it along your body. Not only will this help the solution dry faster, but it'll also help to kick the tanning development process into overdrive.
Should you moisturize after rinsing off self-tanner?
Regardless of when the colour guide is washed off, we suggest not moisturising until after the 8 hour mark. Why you might ask? Even rinsing your initial colour guide off, the product still continues to develop on your skim, resulting in the most perfect fake tan.
Yes absolutely you can. there are so many ranges of fake tan, that choosing the right one for you will take some time. I always leave my tan on o/n just to make sure I get the darkest possible tan after washing off.
We generally recommend sticking to the one self tanning product per application. If you do not find the colour to be as dark as you would expect, you can always apply a second coat 30-60 minutes after initial application or the following day if the developed colour is not to your desired colour depth.
